Upcoming Events

Upcoming conferences, workshops, and events of interest for the computational modeling community. CoMSES also organizes and hosts an annual Virtual Conference every October with a mix of community submitted and invited video presentations.

Our Community

CoMSES Net is dedicated to fostering open and reproducible scientific computation through cyberinfrastructure and community development. We develop and curate resources for model-based science with FAQs and forums for discussions, job postings, and events. We also develop and maintain the CoMSES Computational Model Library, a digital repository for code that supports discovery and good practices for software citation, reproducibility and reuse.

Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Agent-Based Modelling (University of Oxford)

We are seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Assistant (PDRA) for a continuing interdisciplinary project to build an agent-based model (ABM) to represent the extraction of fish by fishing vessels in open ocean fisheries and the associated effects on ocean ecological systems. The goal of this effort will be to identify pragmatic fisheries management strategies tailored both to the complexity of the ocean ecosystem, and the limitations of social, economic and regulatory systems.
